the beets go out: ikea

we've never reviewed food court fare on the blog before. deciding to start at the very bottom, lintil and i went to ikea and ate there. well, we mostly went there to shop. and then we got hungry. so we joined the line-up at the cafeteria for cheap food.

i had the veggie wrap, and lintil seemed quite taken by the idea of the brocchini and tomato sandwich. these were the only 2 available veggie options. the wrap was basically a flat bread with lettuce...shredded iceberg lettuce, scarce bits of tomato, not-enough cheddar cheese clustered on one side. lintil had a better reaction to the sandwich, although she said it was mostly bread. i commented that the sandwich probably needed more than 2 small unripe slices to legitimately have tomato in its title. in the end, we made liberal use of the salt and pepper shakers on our table.

hahaha! ikea food court! ahahahaha!! yes, it would definitely be at the very bottom. i had a bad pseudo-curry experience there (pseudo meaning that it consisted of canned mushrooms in a sweet sauce). their ice cream is all right though!

yeah, cheap AND bad!! we stood in line for the ice-cream...well, lintil stood in line for 5 minutes and didn't move an inch. so we gave up on that idea. i actually like their ice cream. it's not bad for 75 cents.
